Use this VIBE Protocol Finder for Horses to see which Protocol to Run

Whether your horse is a competition partner, a trail companion or happily retired, it is not always obvious which VIBE protocol to run. Pick a condition below and this finder shows the protocols designed around it, how long each one runs and the order to run them in.
It covers the core protocols and Brain Wave (expansion) protocols most relevant to horses, from joint and back support to hoof-related concerns, post-workout recovery, calm and stress, digestion and immune support.
You can also use the VIBE Protocol Finder for People which shows the entire list of conditions if there is something that isn’t covered here. We also have the VIBE Protocol Finder for Dogs which has the protocols most relevant for dogs.
How to Use the VIBE Protocol Finder for Horses
- Choose your condition from the first drop-down list. If there is no exact match, choose the closest match to your horse’s condition.
- Start with the core protocol shown first. If there is no core protocol then continue with the expansion protocols listed.
- For added support, follow it with the related brain wave protocols, run one directly after the other in the order shown.
- Try different combinations. Every horse responds differently, so start with one protocol, watch how your horse responds, then try a second on a different day or in combination.

Core Protocols and Expansion Protocols
Core protocols
These are the built-in items in your VIBE menu, and they are the best place to begin with your horse. When the finder shows a core protocol, run that first.
Expansion protocols
These are combinations of the five Brain Wave protocols (Alpha, Beta, Delta, Gamma and Theta). They are not a single menu entry, so you run each brain wave protocol from the menu, one after the other.
Browse Protocols by Area of Well-being
Not sure what to look for? These are the conditions the protocol finder for horses covers, grouped by theme. Each is a protocol designed around that concern, not a claim of medical effect.
Pain, Joints & Mobility
Protocols related to comfort and soundness. Start with the Pain option in the finder for an overview, or choose a specific area.
Arthritis | Back Pain | General Inflammation | Ligament Injuries | Muscle Strains | Musculoskeletal Pain | Neck Pain | Nerve Pain or Neuropathy | Osteoarthritis | Pain | Tendon and Ligament Injuries
Hooves & Lower Limb
Protocols related to concerns that affect the feet and lower legs.
Laminitis | Navicular | Periostitis | Poor Circulation | Swelling (Edema)
Injury & Recovery
Protocols designed around healing, and around helping your horse recover after exercise.

How the VIBE Protocols Work
Behind every protocol is a pairing of two values. One names a condition, such as inflammation or toxicity, and the other names the tissue it is sitting in, such as muscle, nerve, joint or lung. Because the pairing changes as a session moves along, a protocol is a sequence rather than a single setting. That is why the same device can be used for a stiff back one day and a post-workout cool-down the next.
Longer protocols are organized into phases that share a purpose, usually calming inflammation first, then working on the specific concern, then settling and restoring at the close. For each, the protocol finder for horses shows the run time, the phases and a sample of the frequency pairs.

Getting the Most from Your Sessions
- Consistency beats intensity. A regular schedule generally serves better than occasional long sessions.
- Hydrate before and after. Make sure your horse has access to plenty of water before and after sessions.
- Let the session finish. Many protocols close on calming or restorative pairings, so stopping early means missing the part designed to settle things.
- Try different combinations. Every horse responds differently. Start with one protocol and observe how your horse responds, then try a second on a different day or in combination. Once you figure out which protocols are best for your horse you can then run multiple protocols a day if necessary.
- Check the run time before you begin. Protocols range from under 30 minutes to over two and a half hours. You can use the Vibe on your horse at any time including whilst you are riding.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the VIBE Protocol Finder for Horses? It is a free tool on this page. You choose a condition from the drop-down list and it shows the VIBE protocols designed around it for your horse, how long each runs, and the order to use them in.
What is the difference between Core and Expansion protocols? Core protocols are the built-in items in the VIBE menu. Expansion protocols are combinations of the Brain Wave protocols (Alpha, Beta, Delta, Gamma and Theta). They are not a single menu entry, so you run each brain wave protocol from the menu, one directly after the other, in the order shown.
Which protocol should I run first? Always start with the core protocol when there is one for the condition. For added support, follow it with the related expansion protocols.
What if the results show more than one core protocol? Every horse responds to frequency therapy differently. Start with one protocol and observe how your horse responds, then try a second on a different day or in combination. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, so try different combinations to find what works best for your horse.
Should my horse finish the whole session? Yes, it is best to let the session run its full length. Many protocols close on calming or restorative pairings, so stopping early means missing the part designed to settle things.
How long does a session take? Anywhere from 26 minutes to over two and a half hours, depending on the protocol. The finder shows the run time for each one, and each brain wave protocol runs for 30 minutes.
Why can’t I find my condition? Not every condition has its own protocol. If there is no exact match, choose the closest match to your condition. Try the Pain option for general discomfort, or get in touch and we will help you choose.
I can’t find my horse’s condition. What should I choose? Not every condition has its own protocol. If there is no exact match, choose the closest match to your horse’s condition. The General Inflammation option is a good starting point for general discomfort.
Is the VIBE a medical device, and does it replace veterinary care? No. The VIBE is a wellness device intended to support relaxation, comfort and general well-being. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not replace veterinary care. Always consult your veterinarian about your horse’s health, and do not stop or change prescribed care.
